The WWW Wednesdays meme is currently hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words and is a great way to do a weekly update on what you’ve been reading and what you have planned.

WWW Wednesday

To take part all you have to do is answer the following three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

24611454What I’m Currently Reading: I am in the middle of Nora Roberts’ Stars of Fortune, whose sequel Bay of Sighs just came out last week. I bought the sequel immediately upon release, got it home, and realized I never finished the first one! (Book nerd problems.) In this first book of the trilogy, we follow Sasha Riggs, an introverted artist and budding seer. She must embrace her powers and bring together the people in her dreams in order to find a star hidden on the Greek island of Corfu before an evil goddess does. No biggie, right? Top that off with a budding romance with powerful magician Bran and a crew of people who all have secrets from one another, and you have a classic Roberts fantasy trilogy.

26067975.jpgWhat I Recently Finished Reading: I just finished Barb Hendee’s To Kill a Kettle Witch, part of the Mist-Torn Witches series that I just finished reviewing (click it, go ahead!)  I am in love with this series, and the newest addition wasn’t any exception. These books follow sisters Celine and Amelia, seers who tell the future and past respectively, as they navigate the murky waters of politics, magic, and heritage. This particular installation shows all three when a prince’s crops are all killed by a curse and the girls must meet their own race of people for the first time in order to find out who did it. Can they solve the case, learn about their family, and still keep good relations with their own vassal prince? Well, you’ll have to read it.

What I Will Be Reading Next: Next up will hopefully be Eva Gates’ Reading Up A 25894011Storm, book three in the Lighthouse Library Mystery series. These books follow Lucy Richardson, a young librarian who lives and works at a library run out of a lighthouse on the Outer Banks, as she helps solve murders with her family and trusted library cat Charles. Far-fetched? Quite a bit, but these books bring together everything I love in life: books, the beach, and cats. Lucy begins as a meek “librarian” type at the beginning of the series, but I think that this book will really be a time for her to shine. All of this is, of course, paired with a love triangle between Lucy, the town deputy, and the town mayor, both of whom would make a great match and both of whom Lucy seems quite content to leave at arm’s length for now. I’m hoping this book gives us some answers!

That’s all for me; what is everyone else reading?!
